Confirmation is a Time of:
- Exploring your faith, asking questions and learning more about being a Catholic Christian
- Deepening your commitment to Christ and to His Church
- Receiving the strengthening of the Holy Spirit
- Completing your initiation into the Catholic Church
Confirmation is a Process that takes place form September through May. It includes:
- A mini-retreat
- The Rite of Enrollment
- 5 Super Sunday Sessions
- A weekend retreat
- Small group and Sponsor meetings
- Post-session interview
- Holy Week services
- A final session and rehearsal
- Confirmation Mass
This year, most of the Confirmation sessions are what we like to call Super Sundays. These begin on Sunday afternoons with a session from 2-4pm, include time with your sponsor, continue with LIFE TEEN Mass at 5:30PM and end with catechetical LIFE Nights after Mass until 8:30PM.
Prerequisites: In order to receive the sacrament of Confirmation at Holy Family, you should be:
- At least 16 years of age at the time of Confirmation
- A practicing Catholic registered at Holy Family and involved in your Catholic faith either through Holy Family or a Catholic school.
