2011-2012 Requirements

Confirmation is an important time of growth and formation in your Catholic faith. It is your chance to learn about what it means to live as a Catholic and make the choice for yourself to say “Yes” to this incredible gift that God is offering you. As such, it is a journey that requires more than just meeting with your fellow candidates for 2 hours, once a month – it requires you to become active in living out what you profess to believe and growing with a community of peers, who will support, challenge and pray for you throughout the next 9 months. In order to help you get the most out of this formation time, we feel that completion of the following activities is extremely important for making the transition into a more adult understanding of your faith and we are requiring that all candidates for Confirmation complete them. The requirements for the 2011-2012 year are:

-          Attendance at all Confirmation Super Sundays and Mini-Retreats

-          Participation in the Rite of Enrollment at Life Teen Mass

-          Attendance at all Life Nights (you may miss 3 during the year)

-          Completion of 10 Ministry Service Hours and 10 Evangelization Service Hours

-          Attending the weekend Confirmation Retreat over President’s Weekend in February

-          Participation in and attendance at Holy Week Services (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil)

-          2 one-on-one meetings with the Youth Minister, one at the start of the program and one just prior to Confirmation

-          Participation in the Reconciliation Service in the week prior to Confirmation

-           Attending the Confirmation Rehearsal

-          Participating in the Confirmation Mass
